‘Scuse me if I don’t just burst into the team song.
happy birthday, @klauswalz!
fine i’ll do it myself (puts miguel into his own animated show)
i think he would’ve looked so good in the geometric art style from the late 90s / early 2000s era, y’ know?
extra under the cut !
Rick Leonardi (the original Spider-Man 2099 1992 penciler) shared some of his original sketches for the Miles and Miguel comic cover art.
Time for the Spider-Man 2099 fans to come together and just declare Fangs All The Time, Red Eyes All the Time, Organic Webs, 50% Spider and ignore whatever the movies say.

it’s interesting when people say miguel is obviously an imposter/pretending to be spider-man, or that he shouldn’t be “representing” spider-people or overseeing the spider society, just because he’s so different from the others.
especially when you consider the message of “anyone can wear the mask” in the first movie, and that miguel’s challenging of that and telling miles he was never meant to be spider-man is meant to be seen as wrong.
so it’s just kinda funny/sad that some people miss the point and instead start saying miguel is a fake spider-man, or he’s lesser because his personality and powers deviate from the “standard”, or that because he wasn’t bitten and gained his abilities differently he shouldn’t be spider-man at all.
the point being that miguel himself is wrong about miles (and imo probably (at least mostly) misunderstanding the way the strict ‘canon events’ thing works defining spider-people’s stories), but while agreeing with that, some people manage to also start projecting miguel’s own thinking back onto him, without considering what kind of story these movies are trying to tell
